"The airline will purchase more aircraft, whether they would be from ATR or other planemakers," -- Libyan Airlines.

Libyan flag carrier Libyan Airlines has signed an order for two planes with turbo-prop planemaker ATR, state news agency Jana said on Tuesday. "The airline will purchase more aircraft, whether they would be from ATR or other planemakers," Jana added, quoting a statement from the airline.

The two planes, with a combined cost of LYD31 million dinars (USD$25.5 million), would be delivered within 45 days, it said.

The deal was reached on the sidelines of Libya's airshow, staged at Maitigua airport on the outskirts of Tripoli, added Jana.
