Amerijet has resumed commercial flights to Haiti, following the earthquake which devastated the country on 12 January.
On 29 January, the Miami-based airline sent out a notice informing customers that its warehouse and offices in Haiti were operational and it had resumed normal daily cargo operations.
But it added that all personal shipments still had to be classified as “relief goods”.
A source confirmed that Amerijet had resumed its scheduled commercial operations to Port-au-Prince, but said there was a large backload of freight still to be moved.
He had not heard of any other carriers operating a “scheduled” flight to Port-au-Prince.
