Air France-KLM, Europe's largest carrier by revenue, on Tuesday posted a 4.9 percent rise in February passenger traffic, while its passenger load factor remained stable.

The airline also said cargo traffic fell 3.1 percent due in part to the Chinese new year which slowed business activity.

The company said that traffic during February was disrupted by bad weather and a four-day strike by air traffic controllers. Political unrest in Africa and the Middle East was also slowing traffic in those areas, Air France said.
