Philippine budget carrier Cebu Air said on Friday it had signed six-year operating lease agreements with Dublin-based RBS Aviation Capital for two new Airbus A320 aircraft.

The planes will be delivered in March 2012, Cebu Air said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.

Last month, Cebu Air said it would buy an additional 30 new A321neos and seven A320 from Airbus for USD$3.8 billion, with delivery between 2015 and 2021.

The order is in addition to 18 A320s the airline is set to receive from the second half of this year up to 2014.

Cebu Air, a unit of local conglomerate JG Summit Holdings, is seeking to more than double its fleet over the next 10 years as it sees the strength of Asian economies supporting growth of low-cost carriers in the region.

It competes with flag carrier Philippine Airlines locally and with Singapore's Tiger Airways and Malaysia's Air Asia in the region.
